Miracle League Adaptive Baseball is an Youth Sports activity provided by Salt Lake County for individuals ages 5 – 21 with mild to severe mental and/ or physical disabilities. There are a maximum of 12 players per team. Each player is safe on base. Each player bats each inning. Volunteers and parents serve as “buddies” for players. Each team and player wins every game. Angel’s Hands Foundation is sponsoring 2 teams this year composed of Angel’s Hands Kids.
The Miracle League Adaptive Baseball program runs 16 games each year (eight in the spring & eight in the fall). The spring schedule this year runs from April 16, 2011 – June 18, 2011. All games are played at the SME Steel Field of Dreams located behind Gene Fullmer Fitness and Recreation Center in West Jordan Park.
